‘The Big and Little Reads’ are initiatives of the National Endowment for the Arts and part of a drive to increase reading for enjoyment among American citizens and families. The two “Read” programs, designed to complement each other, aim to provide citizens with the opportunity to read and discuss a single book within their own communities, and to promote shared reading between parents and children.
