The Moore Public Library is giving the community some tips for “Growing up Green,” through a family program at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 5, at the library, 225 S. Howard Ave.
The library is partnering with several local organizations for the program. The Cleveland County health Department will provide free car seat checks in the library parking lot, and the Cleveland County OSU Extension Office and Ag in the Classroom also will participate in the program.
Attendees will have the chance to learn about nutrition, make "A Bean is a Seed" necklace, create a newspaper planter, take part in story time, enter a door prize for books and make a sunflower craft they can plant at home.
Registration is not required to attend.
