Pottawatomie County Libraries Celebrate Native American Culture

altPottawatomie County Libraries of the Pioneer Library System will host a celebration of Native American culture at the Tecumseh Public Library, 114 N Broadway, Tecumseh,  on Saturday, November 1 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.   Activities will include Native American Sign Language interpretations by  Susie and Holly Factor, basket weaving with Sue Fish, finger weaving with Pauline Wahpepah, Native American stories presented by the Shackleford family, crafts for children, and a special performance by the Oklahoma Fancy Dancers at 1:00 p.m.  Indian tacos will be sold from 11:00 until 1:00.  The Native American Festival is sponsored by the Oklahoma Arts Council, the Friends of the Shawnee Library, the Friends of the Tecumseh Library, and the Friends of the McLoud Library.
