The McLoud Public Library has added three new public internet computers and two new children’s computers making a total of 11 computers available for public use.
To increase the information available to library customers and to provide them more communication opportunities, the library provides public access to the World Wide Web portion of the Internet and to specific information subscriptions arranged through the Internet. Each public computer available to adults also has the current versions of the most popular software installed. Printers are also available for public use.
“We are thrilled to have these new computers for our customers. These are a direct result of the millage passing last May. This is the first time the McLoud Library has had computers just for children. The children’s computers have lots of fun, interactive software for ages 1½ to 8 years of age,” said Wanda Haynes branch manager. “The City of Mcloud furnished the beautiful oak computer tables that were crafted locally by Don Roblyer, she said.
Be sure to stop by and test out the great new equipment for beginning and seasoned computer users!
