New programs on the horizon include the Second Annual Gospel Brunch, slated for the end of February in celebration of Black History Month. The Adult Services Department will participate in another Big Read Event, featuring this year's classic book selection of To Kill a Mockingbird, by Harper Lee. Also, Moore Library is proud to be part of the MetLife Grant program, Fit for Life, in which several programs, events, and speakers will focus on the importance of mental health: keeping the brain active and healthy. The Children's Department will conclude Melody Hounds music classes and continue to offer StoryTimes, Movers and Shakers, and Make 'n' Takes. For teens, Game On, highlighted by Guitar Hero II, Wii, and video games, takes front stage.
During this time when the national economic conditions are in a crunch, the Moore Library is proud to be seen as a viable resource for the community, offering: free computer access, free wi-fi service, the latest movie dvd's for checkout, a family facility open with extended hours of service, confortable reading and research areas. We hope your visit to the Moore Library is an enjoyable one, and we look forward to seeing you here.
