We would like to thank everyone for passing the millage for the McLoud Public Library!
We have already seen an increase in books, DVD's, and audiobook titles available to the public. We will also be getting five new computers for the public. Beginning in September, thanks to the millage, McLoud Public Library will be open one hour later during the weekdays and we will be open on Sunday afternoons.
We will be celebrating Pioneer Library System's 50th Anniversary on September 11th between 4 and 6 pm. Everyone is invited to the come-and-go, 1950's style celebration with ice cream floats and cake in recognition of the creation of the library system in 1958. McLoud Library volunteers, donors, and supporters will be recognized with corsages and boutonnieres.
We had a great summer reading program! We had an increase in attendance of 34%! Now that school is back in session, storytime will be beginning soon and we have lots of afterschool gaming and movie programs planned. For adults, our book club Ravenous Readers meet monthly for dinner and to review their latest reads. We are working on lots of programming ideas so be sure to check out our calendar for future events.
We hope to see you soon at your McLoud Public Library!
