Food for Fines

Soup cans and moneyDecember 1 through December 7, customers may bring in canned food items for up to a $20 reduction of their outstanding library fines. These food for fines dollars do not count toward lost materials. Canned items must have current dates; have labels intact; and be in good condition.

  • Blanchard Public Library plans to donate to the Lion’s Club Christmas Baskets
  • McLoud library will donate to the McLoud Food Pantry
  • Moore Public Library will be partnering with the Brand Senior Center. The Brand Center provides Holiday Care Baskets to area Senior Citizens.
  • Newcastle and Purcell library donations will go to the McClain County Operation Christmas group.
  • Noble library will donate to the McGuire Community Foundation, Inc.
  • Norman library will donate to the Salvation Army.
  • Shawnee library will donate canned goods to the Salvation Army.
  • Tecumseh library to the Highland Church of Christ food bank.
Card holders can contact the library to see if they have fines or charges. Or they click here and check their accounts by signing in with their library card number and their personal PIN. For more information, contact your hometown library.

Of course, we will also be happy to accept donations from people who don’t owe the library any money. It all goes to help the community!
