Who is eligible for a library card?
This includes the following communities:
(People who live in towns marked with * need to work, attend school, or own property in the above mentioned three county area. For a map of our service area visit our Google map.)
Anyone in those communities can choose to have one of two types of cards. A Tradional Library Card, which provides access to online materials as well as books and videos inside our hometown libraries, or a Virtual Library Card, which provides access to online materials only.
- To apply for a Traditional Library Card, which will be mailed to you and require a library visit to activate it, complete the Traditional Library Card online form.
- To apply for a Virtual Library Card complete the Virtual Library Card online form.

Who is eligible for a reciprocal card?
Any customer eligible for a card in the Metropolitan Library System (living, attending school, or owning property in Oklahoma County or Oklahoma City) is eligible for a Reciprocal Card in the Pioneer Library System. Any person with a Pioneer System card is eligible for a Metropolitan System card.

Who is eligible for a non-resident fee card?
Any person, who does not qualify for a Pioneer Library System card or a Reciprocal Card, but wishes to access to library collections from a branch of the Pioneer Library System, may apply for a non-resident library card.
Verification of current address is required. If the borrower does not have identification showing current address, the library card will be mailed to the borrower's address.
Contiguous Counties Non-Resident Fee Card: $60.00 (Contiguous counties include: Canadian, Lincoln, Okfuskee, Seminole, Pontotoc, Garvin, and Grady.)
Non-contiguous Counties Non-Resident Fee Card: $70.00
Out-of-State Non-Resident Fee Card: $80.00

How do I replace my lost, stolen, damaged library card?
Replacement card fees are set by the Pioneer Library System Board of Trustees.
Replacement card costs:
Damaged card: Free
Lost card : $1.00
Customer just wants a new card: $1.00
