PLS Staff: If there is power to the hometown libraries, we will open tomorrow. But right now we may or may not have Internet in the libraries. Staff with damage do NOT need to come to work but notify your supervisor via text message that you will not be in (and so we know you are safe). If you do not have your supervisor's contact info then Text PLS to 66746 to register and then text your name & branch to 66746 and we will relay the info for you. If your primary workplace library is not open tomorrow you may be asked to report to a sister hometown library for work. Mower After a hot summer filled with hard work, it’s time to give your yard machinery a rest for the winter.

But first, a plan for the maintenance and storage of those items is in order. Find out more from a Blanchard Public Library program on the topic, set for 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 28, in the Community Room of the library, 205 NE 10^th St.

The program is for teens or adults.

Instructor Paul Rollings will give tips on maintenance of small engines for yard machinery, as well as ideas for the best ways to store items during the winter months so they’ll be ready for use again when the weather starts to warm up.

Registration is requested to attend the program.
