The Moore Public Library will host free computer classes throughout December.
Registration is required for each individual class. To register, visit or call the library at 793-4349, or self-register online at the library’s Events Calendar.
The December schedule features:
Dec. 3, 9:30 a.m. – Computer Basics: An introduction to the computer with practice using a mouse.
Dec. 6, 9:30 a.m. – Internet Basics Part 1: An introduction to the internet. Learn basic browser and toolbar functions, and practice web surfing.
Dec. 10, 9:30 a.m. – Email Basics: Learn the basics of using e-mail, including reading, sending, and deleting messages. Receive assistance with signing up for a free e-mail address.
Dec. 13, 9:30 a.m. – Basic Microsoft Excel Part 1: Very basic introduction to the spreadsheet software Microsoft Excel 2010. Includes creating a simple worksheet. Intermediate computer skills are recommended.
Dec. 17, 9:30 a.m. – Facebook for Beginners: A basic introduction to Facebook. Participants will register, learn about finding friends, accessing the Wall and Profile and Account information, plus learn how to protect your privacy. Intermediate computer skills are recommended.
Dec. 19, 6:30 p.m. – Introduction to Twitter: Learn the fundamentals of the popular social media website. Practice following Twitter accounts and sending tweets. Intermediate computer skills are recommended.
