Inspiration comes in all kinds of packages: A gripping, well-written story ranks at the top of the list. Kerry Cohen writes those kinds of books for young adults and teens. A rare opportunity for teens to Meet The Author, Kerry Cohen takes place at Moore Public Library 225 South Howard in Moore at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, January 5.
Cohen is frank and honest about relationships, seeking love, and learning from life’s messy situations. “Kerry Cohen’s young adult books are powerful. Her memoir is a frank account of discovering your true nature and changing your actions to renew your choices in life”, says Leanne Cheek, Teen Librarian for Moore Public Library. “Teens who love strong books will enjoy meeting Kerry Cohen".
For Kerry Cohen, writing is like breathing and no matter what else happens in her life: she writes. Cohen is passionate about books and loves to see connections between things. Her books include: The Good Girl, Easy, It’s Me Not You, Seeing Ezra, Loose Girl, and Dirty Little Secrets. Cohen has a MFA in creative writing from the University of Oregon, and is currently on the faculty at Oklahoma City University teaching in the Red Earth low-residency program.
