The Moore Public Library announces its schedule of free computer classes for May.
Classes take place in the Computer Training Center of the library, 225 S. Howard Ave., and are offered free of charge. Space is limited so registration in advance is required, either at the library, by calling 793-4349 or online at the Events Calendar here .
The May schedule features:
May 3, 9:30 a.m. – Computer Basics: An introduction to the computer with practice using a mouse.
May 7, 9:30 a.m. – Internet Basics Part 1: An introduction to the internet. Learn basic browser and toolbar functions, and practice web surfing.
May 10, 9:30 a.m. – Internet Basics Part 2: Go further on the internet by learning tools and tips that help you search the internet better and faster. Internet Basics Part 1 or equivalent is a pre-requisite.
May 14, 9:30 a.m. – E-Mail Basics: Learn the basics of using e-mail, including reading, sending, and deleting messages. Receive assistance with signing up for a free e-mail address.
May 17, 9:30 a.m. – Advanced E-Mail: Learn advanced options of using e-mail. Includes working with folders and attachments. E-Mail Basics or equivalent is a prerequisite.
May 21, 9:30 a.m. – eBay Basics: Selling – Learn how to research items to sell on eBay, set your price, navigate the sea of shipping options and cash in. Intermediate computer skills recommended.
May 23, 6:30 p.m. – Basic Microsoft Excel 2010: Very basic introduction to the spreadsheet software Microsoft Excel 2010. Includes creating a simple worksheet. Intermediate computer skills are recommended.
