The highly anticipated annual Friends of the Moore Public Library book sale will open the doors to the public from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, Sept. 28, at the library, 225 S. Howard Ave.
The event continues into the weekend with hours from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, and 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 30.
A special “Members Preview Sale” for Friends of the Library members will take place from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 27. Friends’ memberships will be available on this preview night, at the following fees: $5 per individual, $10 per family, $1 for students, and a Preview ONLY membership for $4 each.
Sale items will include fiction and non-fiction books, DVDs, book series and sets, resource materials, movies, and music. Prices for sale items are as follows: adult hardback books, $2; paperbacks, $1; DVDs and audiobooks, $2; children’s hardback books, 50 cents; children’s paperback books, 25 cents and magazines, 10 cents.
Sunday features the “Books-by-the-Sack” bag-sale, with all remaining items sold at the rock bottom price of $5 per bag. The Friends will provide bags for purchasers.
The Friends organization value book and item donations during the year for its sale, which helps the Friends’ role of supporting the programming and functions of the Moore Public Library.
