Make your summer produce last long into the year with a Canning and Freezing workshop, set for 2 p.m. Thursday, June 27, at the Newcastle Public Library, 705 NW 10th St.
Mickey Simpson, Extension Agent with the McClain County OSU Extension Service office, will lead the program, which is for ages 18 and up.
She will talk about the basic principles of home canning and also give information on optimum freshness and quality when freezing items.
Space is limited, so registration is asked in advance.
