Make the library a stop soon for Summer Reading activity in Newcastle

ChipmunkThe Newcastle Public Library continues to hop with activity for all ages in its Summer Reading Program schedule in the coming days.

Children

2 p.m. Wednesday, June 19 – Dive In Dig It concert, featuring Stephen Fite. He has performed for 30 years, with tunes geared to ages 3 to 7 but fun for all.

Teen

10 a.m. Tuesday, June 18 and 25 – Chess from the Ground Up. Librarian Aaron Pence will teach rules and basics of chess in the first session June 18, and more advanced strategy tips June 25. Registration is required to take part.

2 p.m. Friday, June 21 – Steampunk Style, jewelry making basics presented by local artist Kiona Millirons. Registration is required and the program currently has a waiting list.
