The Noble Public Library and the University of Oklahoma Confucius Institute are partnering on a pair of family-oriented story times titled “Chinese Storytelling with Cartoons.”
The programs will take place on Saturdays, Dec. 1 and 15, at 10 a.m. in the Coman Culbert Community Room of the library, 204 N. 5th St.
Cartoonist James Yang will lead the story time, utilizing his own Chinese style comic illustration to accompany each storytelling journey and explore the most popular Chinese idioms, fairy tales, folklores and anecdotes of famous Chinese historical figures.
The University of Oklahoma Confucius Institute endeavors to build strong relations between the people of the South Central U.S. and the people of China, enhancing understanding and mutual respect. It is a partnership established in 2006 between Beijing Normal University and OU.
