Noble welcomes local artist to present basic weaving class
Get an introduction to the art of weaving at a Noble Public Library Weaving Class, set for 6 p.m. Monday, Feb. 11, in the Coman Culbert Community Room of the library, 204 N. 5th St.
Janey Crain, a local artist from Noble, will teach the classes, which are for ages 18 and up. She will show off basic weaving techniques that can get a beginner started on their own project.
Crain has been part of the Oklahoma Arts Council’s artist in residence program since the 1960s, working with a variety of audiences since then in sites like schools or even in state prisons. She also has presented work in the Dreamer Concepts Studio Foundation show in Norman.
All materials will be provided by the library but space is limited for the program, so registration is required in advance to take part.
For more information, or to register, visit the library, call 872-5713 or go online here .
