Storyteller brings tales of China to children in Norman

The Norman Public Library welcomes nationally-known storyteller Elizabeth Ellis to its weekly Afterschool Special at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 25, at the library, 225 N. Webster Ave.

Ellis will tell stories about China, and participants also will make a dragon puppet craft after the story time.

Ellis brings 25 years of storytelling experience, with total audiences of more than 250,000 children and adults hearing her tales.

 

She has taken her storytelling talents all over the globe, ranging from her home in Dallas to halfway around the world in New Zealand. She has received several honors, including being the first honoree for the John Henry Faulk Award from the Tejas Storytelling Association and receiving the Circle of Excellence Award from the National Storytelling Association.

Registration is not required to attend.
