Norman’s “Teens on the Make” to commemorate Earth Day with recrafting project

Celebrate Earth Day by recycling, recrafting and restyling unwanted materials at this month’s edition of the Norman Public Library’s “Teens on the Make” program, set for 2 p.m. Saturday, April 21, in the Lowry Room of the library, 225 N. Webster Ave.
The program is offered for students in grades 6 through 12, who will use a variety of materials to make a new masterpiece or two to take home. There will be supplies provided by the library, but participants also are encouraged to bring extra materials. Among those suggested are clean No. 6 plastics, thick plastic bags and pieces of cloth.
Support in providing some of the supplies for the program has been given by the Friends of the Norman Library.
