Norman Public Library set to offer series of Spanish Immersion classes
The Norman Public Library is offering the community a chance to get immersed in the Spanish language through a series of free classes at the library in September and October.
The Norman Spanish Immersion series takes place Tuesdays beginning Sept. 4 in the Lowry Room of the library, 225 N. Webster Ave. Beginning classes meet at 6:30 p.m. and advanced classes begin at 8 p.m.
The classes run for six consecutive weeks on the following dates: Sept. 4, 11, 18, and 25 and Oct. 2 and 9.
Local Spanish teacher Mel Messer will lead the classes, which will be conducted entirely in Spanish. The goal is to increase confidence in using the language for class participants.
Registration is not required to take part.
