Norman hosts vegetable gardening workshop
The Norman Public Library invites gardeners to get some tips on vegetable gardening at a “Backyard Vegetable Gardening” presentation at 5:30 p.m. Monday, March 18, in the Lowry Room of the library, 225 N. Webster Ave.
Tracey Payton Miller, horticulturalist with the Cleveland County Oklahoma Cooperative Extension Service, will lead the program.
Her topics will include general information on vegetable gardening including: planting seeds, growing transplants, caring for the garden, pest control, as well as what can be grown successfully in Oklahoma.
The workshop is for teens or adults, and registration is not required to attend.
