The local model train community makes a favorite late summer stop at the Norman Public Library for its annual Train Days, set for Aug. 18-19 in the Lowry Room of the library, 225 N. Webster Ave.
The model trains will be running during library hours, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 18, and 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 19.
The South Canadian Model Railroad Club and Oklahoma N-Rail will bring their model railroads, sets and train cars to fill the Lowry Room.
They’ll bring many examples of trains and displays, and group members will be available to answer questions about what they do and how their collections have grown.
The event is free and open for all ages.
