Purcell talking weather, rockets at events

The Purcell Public Library is talking weather and rockets at its upcoming Thursday afternoon presentations for children, at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 12, at the library, 919 N. Ninth St.

Ages 8 and under are invited to “Fizz, Boom, Weather,” learning interesting facts about the weather and creating a weather-related craft to take home.

And older children and tweens will be using household materials to make their own “stomp rockets,” which they then will go outside and test, weather-permitting.

Supplies are limited for the stomp rocket program so registration is required in advance to attend.

For more information on any of the library’s programs and services this summer, call 527-5546.
