Get started in genealogy with library program at the McClain County Museum

The world of genealogy research as changed over the years with the advent of the Internet and the growth of resources online, including many available through the Purcell Public Library.
Many people may not have started their research into their family’s past, and have questions on where to start. The library is here to help, with a program on “Genealogy: How to Begin,” at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 20 at the McClain County Museum, 203 W. Washington St.
Gary Rice, Library Assistant in Purcell, and the library’s resident genealogy expert, will lead the program, giving tips on how and where to begin building and researching a family tree.
There is no charge for the program, but registration is required to take part.
