Shawnee to conduct beginning computer class series in new CTC

The Shawnee Public Library will host a three-day computer class series for beginning users May 7-9 in the new Computer Training Center of the library, 101 N. Philadelphia Ave.
Classes will meet at 2 p.m. each day. The schedule includes:
May 7 – Introduction to Computers, showing the basics for new users, including how to use the mouse and definitions of important terms.
May 8 – Introduction to the Internet, with tips on staying secure and how to search for websites.
May 9 – Getting Started with E-mail, with participants being able to create their own free e-mail account from one of several free e-mail service providers.
Class size is limited so registration is required separately for each class.
