Shawnee hosts free computer classes

The Shawnee Public Library has announced three free upcoming morning computer classes in its Computer Training Center for later this month.
Registration will be required separately for each class, with a variety of subjects being offered.
The schedule includes:
Basic Word Processing, 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 13 - The class will introduce participants to using Microsoft Word 2010, starting from the basics of creating documents, defining page layout, and formatting to print. Basic computer skills are required.
Desktop Publishing Using Microsoft Publisher, 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14 - Participants will learn some basic desktop publishing skills including making a garage sale flier, lost dog poster, and more. Computer skills are required.
Brain Games for Seniors, 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 15 – Seniors are invited to spend an hour building brain cells while playing computer games from a variety of sources, including Yahoo!, AARP and more.
