Pottawatomie County Literacy Department hosts New Readers Book Club, Tutor Café
The Pottawatomie County Literacy Department invites students and tutors to the Pottawatomie County New Readers Book Club and Tutor Café, a group that meets the last Tuesday of most months.
The group’s next meeting is 3 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 18, in the Conference Room of the Shawnee Public Library, 101 N. Philadelphia Ave.
While this group is meeting in the Shawnee library, the department’s services are available throughout the Pioneer Library System’s Pottawatomie County reach, including its libraries in McLoud and Tecumseh.
The group takes part in a book discussion as well as planning for upcoming events and giving tutors a chance to discuss learning strategies.
