The Shawnee Public Library invites new computer users to a pair of three-part introductory computer series coming up at the library in March.
Each class offers hands-on instruction for students in basic computer skills.
The schedule includes:
Introduction to Computers, at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 5, features an introduction to basic terms and functions and how to use a mouse.
Introduction to the Internet, at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 6, gives tips on searching the Internet and how to keep a computer safer.
Getting Started with Email, at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 7, gives an introduction to email and allows class participants to create their own email account using a free service from the Internet.
In addition to this three-day series, the same classes will be offered later in the month in a three-part series at 6:30 p.m. Thursday nights. That schedule features Introduction to Computers March 14; Introduction to the Internet March 21 and Getting Started with Email March 28.
Registration is required for each class and can be completed in person at the library, or by calling 275-6353.
