Shawnee Public Library
A special program offering tips to help increase healthy eating while saving time and money will be at the Shawnee Public Library, 101 N. Philadelphia on Thursday, Sept. 25, at 7 p.m. It will be presented by Sonya McDaniel, Pottawatomie County OSU Extension Agency, Family and Consumer Science Educator.
“With busy schedules and the rise in food costs many people are finding it easier to just grab something on the run or eat more convenience food items at home. It is possible to make quick, nutritious and delicious meals at home for less,” says McDaniel. “Using the MyPyramid as a guide, doing a little pre-planning and being smart at the grocery store may be able to bring you back to the dinner table.”
No registration is required to attend the program. For more information, call the library at 275-6353.
