SOKC brings movies, books together with new tween group
The Southwest Oklahoma City Public Library is bringing books and movies together with its “BAM” (Book and Movie Discussion) group for tweens.
Ages 9-12 are invited to the library for the first edition of the afterschool program, set for 4 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 25, in the Conference Room of the library, 2201 SW 134th St.
The group will be looking at the book “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory,” as well as the movie version, in this month’s meeting. They’ll discuss differences and similarities and in the print and film versions as they watch clips from the movie.
Each month the group will discuss a different book and movie, and copies of the next month’s book will be available at the Children’s Desk.
Registration is required to take part.
