The Southwest Oklahoma City Public Library is getting in gear for Teen Read Week with an assortment of favorite books for teens in a special display throughout the week, from Oct. 13-19.
Teen Read Week is a national adolescent literacy initiative created by the Young Adult Library Services Association (YALSA), a division of the American Library Association. It is held annually during the third week of October.
This year’s theme for Teen Read Week is “Seek the Unknown.”
The SOKC library will feature some of its offerings for teens or the young at heart in its display. The collection is part of the Pioneer Library System’s larger collection of books and materials geared toward teen readers.
