Penn Ave. Literary Society set for monthly book discussion
The Southwest Oklahoma City Public Library’s Penn Ave. Literary Society will discuss the book “The Alchemist” by Donna Boyd at its next meeting, set for 6:30 p.m. Thursday, March 14, at the library, 2201 SW 134th St.
The group selects a different book each month for discussion. Books for the next month’s discussion can be picked up at the library’s Information Services Desk and returned at the next book discussion.
Also as part of this month’s discussion will be a preview for the April discussion, of Tobias Wolff’s novel “Old School,” the featured work in The Big Read, an annual celebration of literature taking place throughout the Pioneer Library System’s hometown libraries this spring. Activities and programs throughout March and April will center on Wolff’s novel.
The group generally meets the second Thursday of the month.
