Penn Ave. Literary Society set for monthly book discussion

BookshelfThe Southwest Oklahoma City Public Library’s Penn Ave. Literary Society will discuss the book “The Marriage Plot” by Jeffrey Eugenides at its next meeting, set for 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 8, at the library, 2201 SW 134th St.

The group selects a different book each month for discussion. Books for the next month’s discussion can be picked up at the library’s Information Services Desk and returned at the next book discussion.

Upcoming titles include:

Sept. 9 – “The Lost Summer of Louisa May Alcott” by Kelly O’Connor McNees

Oct. 10 – “The History of Love” by Nicole Krauss

Nov. 14 – “The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Society” by Mary Ann Shaffer

Dec. 12 – “The American Heiress” by Daisy Goodwin

Typically discussions take place the second Thursday of the month.
