The Tecumseh Public Library will be closed for renovations from Tuesday, Aug. 30 through Sunday, Sept. 18.
There will be limited services in the lobby of the building on certain dates while the library itself remains closed. During that time, customers will be able to pick up holds and browse or check out new books and sizzlers only. Dates and hours are: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sept. 6-9, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 10 and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sept. 12 and 13.
Tecumseh customers also will have the option during that time to utilize any of the Pioneer Library System’s other eight branch libraries. The system’s other libraries in Pottawatomie County are in Shawnee and McLoud, and Shawnee Mall has a book drop and book locker for use by cardholders as well.
While the library is closed, Tecumseh customers will not accrue fines during the dates the library is closed. Items checked out at other libraries will be due on the dates given at checkout.
The library will reopen Monday, Sept. 19, for its full hours, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
For more information on the closing, or the activities and services offered at the library, call 598-5955.
