It’s that time of year again, as the Tecumseh Public Library welcomes families to take part in its annual Summer Reading program.
The library gets things started with a kickoff event at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 30, at the library, 114 N. Broadway.
Activities for all ages will be featured, including face painting, jugglers, games, crafts and more about things that dig. Attendees also have a chance to sign up for this year’s Summer Reading Challenge, and information on the schedule of programs taking place throughout the summer will be available.
This year’s SRP themes are:
Children – “Dig Into Reading”
Teens – “Beneath the Surface”
Adults – “Groundbreaking Reads”
This year’s Summer Reading Program is presented with the support of the Oklahoma Department of Libraries, the Institute of Museum and Library Services, Oklahoma Arts Council, Hitachi Computer Products of America, The Anne and Henry Zarrow Foundation, Sonic, Kirkpatrick Family Fund, the Pioneer Library System Foundation and Friends of the Library groups throughout the Pioneer Library System.
