Volunteering is Worth Your Time
|
The Pioneer Library System provides free Literacy Services for adults needing to learn English as a second language (ESL) & for those wanting to improve their reading skills. The demand for these services continuously grows & we enlist volunteer tutors to help us deliver our literacy services.
Currently there are approximately 40 students waiting for ESL tutors to help them learn conversational English. So what do you need to know to become a tutor?
|
 |
1) No foreign language experience required;
2) Must be over 18 years old;
3) Estimated time commitment is approx. 1 hour per week for 6 months;
4) Tutor & student set their meeting schedule;
5) Next Training Date is August 21.
To find out more or to register to become a tutor please call 701-2682. |
