Your library is open when you need it most. Actions speak as loud as words...at least when library administrator try to have the library open when you need it most.

Beginning January 1, 2010, Moore Public Library, 225 S. Howard, and Norman Public Library, 225 N. Webster, the two largest hometown libraries in the Pioneer Library System, will be open Sundays 1 to 6 p.m. and on Fridays 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday hours of operation will not change and will remain 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday hours will remain 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Both Moore and Norman libraries will still be open 72 hours a week year round.

“The change allows those libraries to be open one hour longer on Sundays and close an hour earlier on Fridays,” said Anne Masters, Director of Pioneer Library System. Data reflecting community use of the library indicated the need for extended Sunday hours and less use on Friday evenings, she said.
