Nearly two years ago, Pioneer Library System purchased the Border’s Bookstore building, at 300 Norman Center Court in Norman, to house the PLS Administrative and Service Center functions. These services are currently located in leased or borrowed spaces around Norman. In addition, some of the building space at 300 Norman Center Court is to be leased to the City of Norman for a new small branch, the Norman Public Library West.
You may have passed the new Pioneer Building and noticed a lot of changes underway. Well, our Administrative and Service Center staff are beginning the transition to the new facility! This will eventually lead to improved efficiency in the processing and delivery of materials to you.
Over the next several weeks, as we move our operations to the new building, you may notice a delay in seeing some of the new books and materials you are expecting to see on our hometown library shelves. Please bear with us; it is temporary as we complete our move.
As soon as the move is complete, we will again provide your books and materials in the timely manner that is our standard. Remember, also, that you may request titles you don’t see in our catalog for purchase or Interlibrary Loan.
We are excited about our move and hope you are too.
Thank you for your patience.
