On August 11, Ginny Weasley from the Harry Potter Series, is turning 31! To help celebrate her birthday here are some books to check out. The Harry Potter series is available in print, large print, braille and as an eBook. The eBook is now available in both English and Spanish. We also have some of the films available in our MovieBoxes. Check with your branch for availability. Here are a few book titles to get your celebration started!

National Day of the Cowboy is July 28th! Celebrate by checking out these titles or making a trip to the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum in Oklahoma City.

July 20th marks the 43rd anniversary of the moon landing in 1969. Astronauts Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin were the first humans to land and set foot on the moon. Here are some books about the moon landing, space exploration, and NASA to enjoy!
Apollo 11: The First Moon Landing by Michael D. Cole
From the Countdown to Space Series this book Surveys the various Apollo spaceflights that marked America's attempt to put a man on the moon, with an emphasis on the 1969 Apollo 11 project culminating in the first landing.
From the Earth to the Moon by Jules Verne
This fictional book tells the story of a Frenchman and two well-to-do members of a post-American Civil War gun club who build an enormous sky-facing columbiad and launch themselves in a projectile/spaceship from it to a Moon landing.
